Osca delivers Coaching for Health training to staff across the hospitals of the Barts NHS Trust on a rolling basis, gradually reaching more of the workforce as the benefits spread by word of mouth. This involves the core course alongside dedicated training for health coaching champions within the parent support team, with whom we are now working to train and support colleagues to further embed a coaching approach across the team.
Feedback from participants:
“I thought this was some of the most useful training I’ve been on for years. The two weeks in between sessions was the perfect amount of time to practice the skills. The trainers were excellent, in terms of their presentation style, knowledge and general encouragement (good coaching!). […] I’ve already started applying what I have learned to my practice and I think it is going to have a huge difference to the way I have conversations and support families who can be difficult to otherwise engage, and also colleagues. Thank you both.” – Speech and Language Therapist (attended Barts Champions course)
“Interactive with lots of encouragement and opportunity for participation – especially as it was virtual. All principles were discussed in relation to real world implementation for us at work which was very useful.” – Physiotherapist (attended Barts Introduction course)
“Very slick and efficient virtual learning, felt like I learnt a lot in just 1/2 a day – thank you” – Exercise Physiologist (attended Barts Introduction course)
